Today, January 19, Opera officially launched the open beta test of its new software – Crypto Browser. The program promises to become a reliable tool for crypto traders, private investors and users interested in Web 3.0 trends. The browser is already available completely free of charge on PC, Mac, Android and iOS platforms. The client can be downloaded from the corresponding software store or from the official Opera website.
Let us recall that the company announced its plans to expand the browser's functionality with an eye on the Web 3.0 sphere back in 2018. At the same time, a built-in crypto wallet appeared in the Opera mobile client for Android.
Now, according to the press release, the project is moving to a new level. This is not just a reworking of functionality, but independent software that is oriented towards Web 3.0.
According to Opera, decentralization of the Internet will become the main trend in IT development in the coming years. The new browser is created specifically for working with dApps and provides much greater functionality compared to its analogue from the developer for a wide audience.
The program uses Chromium developments to increase the speed of query processing, and also adds a “squeeze” of the best from the company’s line of browsers.
In particular, the program can offer the following:
The browser also allows you to create a crypto wallet with support for a basket of major cryptocurrencies directly in the program. This will allow you to purchase digital assets through a regular account “linked” to the account. It is not yet known when the release of the final version of the software is planned. Earlier, we reported that Opera and Uniswap began working with the Polygon network.
